Punjab floods (August and September 2025) (2025): Deaths and Ex Gratia Relief
The Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rose after heavy rain in their catchments in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, damaging crops on 1.98 lakh hectares. Toll and relief are as of the Prime Minister's visit on 9 September 2025, when he also announced Rs 1,600 crore of central assistance (see Disaster Relief Funds).
