Where JanWatchdog's information comes from

Not a government appJanWatchdog is an independent platform. It is not a government app or website, is not affiliated with, endorsed or authorised by any government, ministry or public body, and does not provide any government service. Information is taken from official government publications and named news and reference sources. To apply for a job, scheme, scholarship or licence, always use the official website linked on the page: JanWatchdog cannot take applications, and its Startup Evaluator certificates are issued by JanWatchdog, not by any government body.

Every figure, notice and guide on the JanWatchdog website and in the JanWatchdog and janStartupEvaluator apps comes from the publications below. Each page also names the source next to its figures, and anything that is not a government document carries its publisher's name.

Read every 3 hours from the notice boards of these recruiting bodies. Each notice links to the official notification; the exam guides use the same bodies' notifications, cut-off notices and results.

Older pages compiled by hand

The Treasury and ministry spending, Officials, Vacancies, Women's safety, district projects and district and State scheme figures were compiled by hand from the portals below and the Union and State budget documents above. Where a figure is not yet linked to its document, the page says so next to it; check it on the official portal before relying on it.

Ask JanWatchdog and the Startup Evaluator

Ask JanWatchdog answers from the information above first; when that does not cover a question, it says the answer is general information. The Startup Evaluator works from the details you enter; its licence and scheme lists link to the official portals above, and its cost figures are indicative, to be confirmed with local quotes.
