Fast Track Special Courts: eligibility, documents and how to use it
Who can use Fast Track Special Courts
- Rape and POCSO cases are tried in these courts where they are set up. Victims do not apply: the case is assigned to the court.
How to use Fast Track Special Courts, step by step
- Report the crime to the police. A Zero FIR can be filed at any police station, which then transfers it.
- Ask for free legal aid from the District Legal Services Authority, or call the NALSA helpline 15100.
- Ask the District Legal Services Authority about victim compensation under the State's victim compensation scheme.
- Track the case through the investigating officer and the court.
