Who can use Admission to IITs, NITs and Central universities
- IITs admit through JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes admit through JEE Main and JoSAA counselling.
- Central universities admit undergraduates mainly through CUET-UG.
- Students from low-income families can apply for Central scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal.
How to use Admission to IITs, NITs and Central universities, step by step
- Register for the entrance exam on the National Testing Agency website (JEE Main or CUET-UG) when the notice is published.
- For IITs, qualify in JEE Main and then register for JEE Advanced.
- After the results, register for counselling: JoSAA for IITs, NITs and IIITs; the admission portals of the universities that use CUET.
- Fill and lock your choices, accept the seat offered and pay the seat acceptance fee before the deadline.
- Once admitted, apply for scholarships on scholarships.gov.in.
