It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors envisioned under the first phase of the Namo Bharat project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph) , it uses the Namo Bharat (trainset) designed by the French rolling stock manufacturer Alstom at its engineering centre in Hyderabad , Telangana , and was manufactured in Savli , Gujarat .
