Who can apply for Mizoram Bana Kaih (Handholding) Scheme
- Permanent residents of Mizoram aged 18 to 60 with a viable livelihood or business project. Government employees cannot apply as individuals.
- Startups, self-help groups, cooperatives, farmer producer organisations, registered societies, firms and companies can apply in the organisation categories.
- Existing borrowers generally need a credit score of 700 or more.
How to apply for Mizoram Bana Kaih (Handholding) Scheme, step by step
- Register as a Progress Partner on the State's Handholding portal (one individual and one organisation project per account).
- Submit the loan or Chief Minister package application online, or with help from the district or block office. You get an SMS on submission.
- Selected projects are appraised by the partner bank (SBI, Mizoram Rural Bank or Mizoram Cooperative Apex Bank).
- Approved loans are collateral-free, with the interest borne by the State as set in the scheme.
