Abua Awas Yojana: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for Abua Awas Yojana
- Permanent residents of Jharkhand who live in a kutcha house or have no house.
- Annual family income below Rs 3 lakh, with land owned or in documented possession to build on.
- Not already helped by PMAY-G, Indira Awas or Birsa Awas.
- Priority to particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTG), disaster victims and released bonded labourers.

- Aadhaar
- Ration card
- Bank account
- Land document
- Photo of the present house
How to apply for Abua Awas Yojana, step by step
- Apply at the Block office, at a Panchayat camp, or online on aay.jharkhand.gov.in.
- Attach the documents listed above.
- The Gram Sabha approves the list and the Block verifies it.
- The Rs 2 lakh assistance for a three-room house with kitchen is paid in instalments as construction progresses.
