Who can apply for Swachh Bharat Mission: household toilet incentive
- Rural households without a toilet that have not had toilet help under any other programme: BPL households, SC and ST households, households with a person with disability, landless labourers with a homestead, small and marginal farmers and women-headed households.
- Up to Rs 12,000 for one household toilet.
How to apply for Swachh Bharat Mission: household toilet incentive, step by step
- Apply online for the individual household latrine (IHHL) incentive through the Swachh Bharat Mission portal, or at the Gram Panchayat.
- Give Aadhaar, bank passbook details and a photo.
- The block or district officials verify eligibility.
- Build the toilet. The incentive is paid after it is verified (in cash, materials or vouchers, as the State decides).
