Who can use Jal Jeevan Mission (household tap water)
- Every rural household is meant to get a working tap connection. There is no individual application or fee.
How to use Jal Jeevan Mission (household tap water), step by step
- If your house has no tap, tell the Gram Panchayat or its Village Water and Sanitation Committee (Pani Samiti).
- Check your village's progress on the Jal Jeevan Mission dashboard.
- If water does not come or is unsafe, complain to the Pani Samiti and then to the Public Health Engineering / Rural Water Supply office of your block.
- Ask for the village water test results: trained women in each village test water with field test kits.
