Who can use Shelter and anti-trafficking homes (now Shakti Sadan)
- Women in difficult circumstances: deserted women, survivors of violence and trafficking, and women without family support who need shelter. Swadhar Greh and Ujjawala are now merged into Shakti Sadan under Mission Shakti.
How to use Shelter and anti-trafficking homes (now Shakti Sadan), step by step
- Approach the One Stop Centre, the police, the District Legal Services Authority or the district Women and Child Development office.
- They refer you to a Shakti Sadan home, which gives shelter, food, counselling, medical care, legal help and skill training.
- Call 181 for help finding the nearest home.
