AIIMS and Central medical institutes: eligibility, documents and how to use it
Who can use AIIMS and Central medical institutes
- Patients: anyone can register for treatment in the OPD of AIIMS and other Central government hospitals.
- Students: MBBS admission is through NEET-UG. Postgraduate seats at AIIMS and other Institutes of National Importance are filled through INI-CET.
How to use AIIMS and Central medical institutes, step by step
- For treatment: book an appointment on ors.gov.in (Online Registration System) using your Aadhaar-linked mobile, or register at the hospital's registration counter.
- Carry the appointment slip and earlier medical records to the OPD.
- If your family is covered by Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, ask the hospital's PM-JAY desk for cashless treatment.
- For admission: register for NEET-UG on the National Testing Agency site when the notice is published. AIIMS postgraduate admission is through INI-CET on aiimsexams.ac.in.
