Who can apply for Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups
- DPIIT-recognised startups that are not in default to any lender.
- Loans from scheduled commercial banks, eligible NBFCs and SEBI-registered venture debt funds. The guarantee covers up to Rs 20 crore per borrower.
How to apply for Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups, step by step
- Startups do not apply to the scheme directly. Approach a bank, NBFC or venture debt fund for the loan.
- The lender appraises the project and sanctions the loan under its own rules.
- The lender applies on the NCGTC portal for the guarantee cover. Cover is automatic when the eligibility rules are met.
