How to apply for PM SVANidhi, step by step

  1. Check that you have a vending certificate, ID card or Letter of Recommendation from your municipality. If not, apply for an LoR on the portal or at the ULB office.
  2. Apply online on pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in, or through a Common Service Centre, the ULB office, a bank or a microfinance lender.
  3. Complete Aadhaar e-KYC with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
  4. The lender checks the application and pays the first collateral-free working-capital loan (up to Rs 15,000 since the scheme was restructured in August 2025).
  5. Repay on time to get the interest subsidy and become eligible for the next, larger loan (up to Rs 25,000, then up to Rs 50,000).
  6. Accept payments by UPI / QR code to earn cashback. After repaying the second loan you can apply for a UPI-linked RuPay credit card.
