Gruha Lakshmi: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for Gruha Lakshmi
- The woman named as head of the family on an Antyodaya, BPL or APL ration card in Karnataka.
- One woman per family.
Who is not eligible for Gruha Lakshmi
- If she or her husband pays income tax or files GST returns.
- Women who are government employees.
Documents required for Gruha Lakshmi
- Ration card number
- Aadhaar of the applicant and her husband
- Aadhaar-linked bank account
How to apply for Gruha Lakshmi, step by step
- Apply on the Seva Sindhu guarantee schemes portal, or at a Grama One, Karnataka One, Bangalore One or Bapuji Seva Kendra.
- Give the ration card number, the Aadhaar numbers and the bank account to be paid into.
- You get an SMS confirming registration. The department checks the ration card details.
- Rs 2,000 a month is paid by direct benefit transfer. Check the status on the Seva Sindhu portal.
