Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana
- Families living in Uttar Pradesh with an annual income up to Rs 3 lakh.
- At most two girls per family, and the family should have no more than two children. A third girl is covered when a second delivery gives twin girls.
- Money is paid in six stages: birth, full vaccination, admission to Class 1, Class 6 and Class 9, and admission to a degree or diploma course after Class 12 (Rs 25,000 in all).

- Birth certificate
- Photo of the girl (and of the family for the birth stage)
- Residence proof
- Income certificate
- Bank account details
- Vaccination card or school certificate for the later stages
How to apply for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, step by step
- Register as a citizen on mksy.up.gov.in with the parent's mobile number.
- Fill the application for the stage your daughter has reached and upload the documents listed above.
- Submit. The Block Development Officer (rural) or SDM (urban) verifies it and the District Probation Officer approves it.
- The amount for that stage is paid to the bank account. Apply again at each later stage.
