- Women aged 18 to 59 who are permanent residents of Himachal Pradesh.
- Family income up to Rs 2 lakh a year.
- Buddhist nuns living in monasteries are also eligible.
Who is not eligible for Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana
- Women whose family includes a Central or State government employee or pensioner, or a contract, outsourced, daily-wage or part-time government worker.
- Serving or former servicemen's families and military widows.

- Age proof
- Himachali bonafide or domicile certificate
- Income certificate
- Bank or post office passbook

- The scheme is rolled out in phases. Ask the Tehsil Welfare Officer whether applications are open for your area.
- Get the form at the office of the District or Tehsil Welfare Officer.
- Fill it in, attach the documents listed above and submit it at the same office.
- Rs 1,500 a month is paid to the bank account after verification.
