Pudhumai Penn: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for Pudhumai Penn
- Girls who studied Class 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu government schools and have joined their first higher-education course: degree, diploma, ITI or professional course.
- There is no family income limit.
Documents required for Pudhumai Penn
- Aadhaar
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Transfer certificate
- Bank passbook in the student's name
- Residence certificate
How to apply for Pudhumai Penn, step by step
- After joining college, contact the college's Pudhumai Penn nodal officer. Colleges collect applications from eligible students.
- Register on penkalvi.tn.gov.in and fill in the application with the documents listed above.
- The college verifies the application and forwards it.
- Rs 1,000 a month is paid to the student's bank account until the course is completed.
