Kanyashree Prakalpa: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa
- K1 annual scholarship: unmarried girls aged 13 to 18 studying in Class 8 to 12, or an equivalent vocational or technical course.
- K2 one-time grant: unmarried girls aged 18 to 19 who are in education, vocational or technical training, or sports.
- Studying in a recognised institution in West Bengal, with a bank account in her own name.
How to apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa, step by step
- Get the free form from your school or college.
- Attach the birth certificate, proof of studying, a bank passbook in your name and a photo. The guardian signs the declaration that you are unmarried.
- Submit it to the head of the institution, who uploads it on the Kanyashree portal.
- The Block or municipal office verifies it and the money is paid to your bank account.
