PM Vishwakarma: eligibility, documents and how to apply for it
Who can apply for PM Vishwakarma
- Artisans and craftspeople aged 18 or more, self-employed in one of the 18 family-based trades: carpenter, boat maker, armourer, blacksmith, hammer and tool-kit maker, locksmith, goldsmith, potter, sculptor or stone breaker, cobbler, mason, basket / mat / broom maker, doll and toy maker, barber, garland maker, washerman, tailor and fishing net maker.
- Not having taken a loan under PMEGP, PM SVANidhi or MUDRA in the past 5 years.
- One member per family.
How to apply for PM Vishwakarma, step by step
- Register at a Common Service Centre with Aadhaar, mobile number and bank details.
- The Gram Panchayat head or urban local body verifies the application, then the district and State committees approve it.
- Download the PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card.
- Attend the basic skill training (a daily stipend is paid) and receive the toolkit incentive of up to Rs 15,000 as an e-voucher.
- Apply for the collateral-free loan: up to Rs 1 lakh, then up to Rs 2 lakh, at 5% interest.
