PMAY - Gramin
Who can apply for PMAY - Gramin
- Rural households without a house, or living in a kutcha or dilapidated house, found in the Awaas+ survey or the SECC 2011 lists. The house is in the name of the woman or held jointly, except in a widower's household.
How to apply for PMAY - Gramin, step by step
- Ask the Gram Panchayat secretary whether your name is on the Awaas+ wait list, or search on pmayg.dord.gov.in.
- If it is not, ask for a survey, or use self-survey in the AwaasPlus 2024 app with Aadhaar face authentication while the survey is open.
- The Gram Sabha checks the list. Once sanctioned, money is paid in instalments as the house is built.

PMAY - Urban 2.0
Who can apply for PMAY - Urban 2.0
- Urban EWS, LIG and MIG families (income up to Rs 9 lakh a year) with no pucca house anywhere in India. The house is in the woman's name or held jointly.
How to apply for PMAY - Urban 2.0, step by step
- Register your demand on the PMAY-U 2.0 portal or through your urban local body, with the Aadhaar of family members, an Aadhaar-linked bank account and income proof.
- The urban local body verifies the application.
- Help is released in instalments, or as an interest subsidy through your bank.
