Who can apply for Marriage allowance for a widow's daughter (Puducherry)
- A widow whose annual income is not more than Rs 75,000, and who is a native of Puducherry by birth or has lived there continuously for at least 5 years.
- Rs 25,000 towards her daughter's marriage expenses.
How to apply for Marriage allowance for a widow's daughter (Puducherry), step by step
- Get the application form from the Department of Women and Child Development.
- Attach the husband's death certificate, income certificate, residence proof and proof of the daughter's age and marriage.
- Submit it to the Deputy Director (Women Development) in Puducherry, the Child Development Project Officer in Karaikal, or the Welfare Officer in Mahe or Yanam.
- The grant is paid after verification.
